Privacy Policy — Eclipse Runner

Last updated: 5 September 2026 · Applies to the Eclipse Runner app for iPhone and iPad

In short: Eclipse Runner has no accounts and no logins. Your game progress is saved on your device, and — so it can come back after a reinstall or on your other devices — it also syncs through your own Apple iCloud. Cloud Save is on by default and you can switch it off at any time in the app's Settings. We do not run analytics in the app and we never sell your personal information. The app can show ads supplied by Google AdMob, and Google may use a device advertising identifier to do that — you can limit or reset it at any time in your device settings. The app also reports app installs and app opens to Meta (Facebook), so we can tell which of our ads actually brought players in; this only happens after you allow it — on iPhone and iPad, by saying yes to Apple's tracking prompt.

Using an Android phone? That version differs — it syncs through Google Play Games, and its advertising consent is Google's consent form rather than Apple's tracking prompt. See the Android privacy policy.

1. Who we are

Eclipse Runner (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent mobile game published by HS Studio (Hiten Soni). For any privacy question or request, contact hitennsoni@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Data stored on your device

The app saves your gameplay state locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. This includes which levels you have cleared, your stars and best times, the shards you have collected, the abilities you have earned and which one you are carrying, the memory fragments you have found, anything you have purchased, and your settings.

This information contains no name, email address or payment details. It is never sent to any server of ours except as described in section 2.2.

2.2 Cloud save and sync

So your progress survives a reinstall and can follow you to another device, the app can copy the game data described in 2.1 off the device. Cloud Save is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings → iCloud save. With it off, your game data stays on the device only.

On iPhone and iPad — your own iCloud. The app writes a single small record of your game data into your private iCloud storage, using the Apple Account already signed in on your device. There is no sign-up and no account with us. That record lives in your iCloud, not on any server we operate: we cannot read it, and we receive nothing. Apple's handling of it is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Device backups. Separately from the above, if you have Apple's iCloud Backup switched on, the operating system may include this app's on-device data in that backup. That is your own device backup, controlled by you in your device settings, and we never see it.

2.3 Advertising data

The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Ads appear between levels, and you can also choose to watch an ad in exchange for an extra life. To serve, cap and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

This data is collected by Google directly through its SDK. We do not receive your advertising identifier or IP address, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and described further at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Measuring our own ads — Meta. We advertise Eclipse Runner on Facebook and Instagram. So that we can tell which of those ads led to an install rather than paying for ads blindly, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK, which reports to Meta that the app was installed and opened. For that purpose Meta may process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and basic device and app information. It does not require a Facebook account, and you do not have to be a Facebook user for it to apply.

Meta's handling of this data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy, and its role for this kind of measurement is described in the Meta Business Tools Terms.

Apple's SKAdNetwork. Separately from any identifier, Apple operates a system called SKAdNetwork which tells an advertiser that an install happened without telling them who installed it. The app takes part in it, and the ad networks it may report to are declared in the app itself. The reports carry no identifier of you or your device, and we are not sent one. Because it is Apple's own system and is built not to identify you, it works whichever way you answered the tracking prompt.

2.4 Purchases

The app offers optional in-app purchases — a Pro version that removes the between-level ads, and packs of shards. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through its own billing system. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details. We only receive the confirmation needed to unlock the item on your device.

2.5 What we do not collect

3. How the data is used

Measuring our own ad campaigns (with consent)Advertising ID, IP, device and app info, install and app-open eventsMeta (Facebook)

We do not use your information for any automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above — Google (advertising) and Apple (payments and iCloud sync) — strictly so the app can function, plus Meta where you have consented to personalised advertising, strictly to measure our own advertising as described in 2.3. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Depending on your region and your choices, sharing an advertising identifier for personalised advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Section 6 explains how to opt out.

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

6. Your choices and controls

Advertising

Cloud save

Your data in the app

Legal rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We hold no cloud-save record of our own, so there is nothing on our side to retrieve or delete — the synced copy sits in your own iCloud. For advertising data, requests are best directed to Google using the links in Section 2.3. You are welcome to contact us at hitennsoni@gmail.com and we will help where we can. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children's privacy

Eclipse Runner is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at hitennsoni@gmail.com and we will delete what we can. Ads served in the app are configured for a general audience.

8. Data retention

Gameplay data remains on your device until you reset progress or uninstall the app. A copy synced to your own iCloud remains there until it is replaced by a later save (for example after Reset progress) or removed by you through your Apple Account. We keep no cloud-save record of our own. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention schedules, described in the Google Privacy Policy.

9. International transfers

Our service providers (Apple, Google and Meta) operate globally and may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are made under the safeguards described in their respective privacy policies, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

10. Security

Your game data is held in your device's own app storage, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and, where you have enabled it, device encryption. A copy synced to iCloud is protected by your Apple Account and Apple's own encryption. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but the data involved is limited to game progress and settings.

11. This website

This page is served from hitensoni.com, which uses Google Tag Manager and Google Ads tags to measure how people arrive at the site. That is website measurement and is separate from the app. You can control it through your browser's cookie settings and through Google's own ad settings.

12. Changes to this policy

If any of this changes, the new policy appears on this page and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's own copy of this policy.
