Memory Mason has no accounts and asks for no name, email address or payment details. The only thing it stores is your game progress. This page explains exactly where that progress lives and how to erase it from each place — most of it you can do yourself, from inside the app, in a few seconds.
1. What there is to delete
The only data is your gameplay state: which levels you have cleared or revealed with the in-app “Solve” option, your stars, points and hints, your chosen theme, your daily-challenge streak, your achievements, and your sound, haptics, language and reminder preferences. There is no personal information in it.
Depending on your platform and settings, a copy of that data can exist in up to three places:
| Where | When it exists | Who holds it |
|---|---|---|
| Your device | Always | You — it never leaves the device unless Cloud Save is on |
| Your own iCloud (iPhone / iPad) | When Cloud Save is on | Apple, inside your iCloud account. We cannot read it and receive nothing |
| Our Firebase database (Android) | Only if you sign in with Play Games | Us, keyed to your Play Games ID |
2. Delete the data on your device
Either of these erases everything the app has saved locally:
- In the app: Settings → Reset Progress. This clears your progress, points and hints immediately.
- Uninstall the app. Removing Memory Mason removes its local storage with it.
3. Delete the copy in your iCloud (iPhone and iPad)
On iOS the cloud copy sits in your own private iCloud storage, not on any server we operate — so you control it directly. To clear it:
- Leave Settings → Cloud Save switched on, then use Settings → Reset Progress. The cleared save is synced up and replaces the stored copy, so the old progress is gone from iCloud too.
- To stop any further syncing first, turn Settings → Cloud Save off. Your game data then stays on the device only.
- To remove the app's iCloud data wholesale, delete the app and then, on your device, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage and remove the data stored for Memory Mason.
Order matters: if you want the iCloud copy cleared, run Reset Progress while Cloud Save is still on. Turning Cloud Save off first leaves the last synced copy sitting in iCloud until you remove it through your Apple ID.
4. Delete the Android cloud save
This section applies only if you signed in with Play Games on Android. That is optional — if you never signed in, there is nothing of yours in our database.
- Stop syncing: Settings → Cloud Save turns it off, and signs you out of Play Games for the game.
- Request deletion: email hitennsoni@gmail.com with the subject “Memory Mason — data deletion request”, from any address, telling us the Play Games gamer tag you signed in with. We will delete the stored record and confirm by reply, normally within 7 days and at most within 30.
We keep nothing after that: the record is deleted outright, not archived.
5. Purchases
Purchases (Memory Mason Pro and point packs) are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We never see or store your payment details, so there is nothing for us to delete. Your purchase history lives in your Apple or Google account, and “Restore Purchases” in Settings reads it from there. Deleting your game data does not cancel a purchase — Pro can still be restored afterwards.
6. Advertising
Advertising identifiers are held by Google, not by us. You can reset or remove them at any time: on Android via Settings → Google → Ads, and on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The in-app Settings → Ad Privacy Options lets you revisit your consent choice where one applies. Google's retention of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Meta (Android only). Where you have consented to personalised advertising, the Android app reports installs and app opens to Meta so we can measure our own Facebook and Instagram ads. There is no stored record for us to delete — we hold nothing — but you can stop it at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Options, and resetting your Advertising ID breaks the link to your device. If you have a Facebook account, Meta's own settings let you review and clear activity it has received from apps. Meta's retention is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. The iPhone and iPad app sends Meta nothing.
